**Changes to the rights of country people***
In the Victorian Governments quest to keep Melbourne based votes, it will pass legislation this week that will provide a massive free kick to multinational energy companies. Only wind companies will be excluded from the Public Health and Well Being Act.
In August this year a small group of Gippslanders proved in the Victorian Supreme Court, that the Bald Hills Wind Farm next door to them was not a good neighbour. The Court found there were problems that needed to be fixed.
No Industry should be excluded from being a responsible neighbour. Local communities have rights too, and country people should not be disadvantaged in this Governments renewable energy targets. We can have renewable energy and responsible and fair projects.
